My baby sister came out to visit us last week. It was so much fun to have her here and show her everything that I have come to love in Houston. Rocky and her got along so well the whole time.
John's friend Ross came down to see us over the 4th of July weekend we all went bowling and had a great time. unfortunately Houston wasn't the best place to be on the 4th because of the ban on fireworks. Hillary and I were able to go on some lovely bike rides and we went swimming and other fun activities.
we went to a place called Bayou Wildlife Park in Alvin. one of my friends suggested it and it sure didn't disappoint.
they have tons of animals all roaming wild in the park most of them are very tame.
you get to ride a little tram that takes you all over the park and the animals come up and you feel them. this was really terrifying at times as the animals heads are about 10X bigger than a humans.
we spend most of the time screaming and laughing.
here is Hillary feeding an Ostrich these things were everywhere and we tried to stop feeding them so that we would have more food for other animals but they would peck at us if we didn't feed them.
the next day we went to Galveston Island. we went on the ferry to the other side of Galveston and played on the beach over there. Hillary and I did a huge photo shoot. we had so much fun having such a beautiful backdrop to pose in front of. we had done a photo shoot earlier in the week but this one was the most fun ever!. sophie wanted a photo shoot too.
here is rocky all ready for church. i got him dressed and then thought he looked like a little missionary so I quickly made him a little name tag and had him hold a Book of Mormon.
love the absence of shoes. that is how I prefer to be too.
