Rocklond is now one month old. He can almost hold his head up all by himself, and when he is laying on his stomach he can push up on his hands and hold that position for a few seconds. He had a bad encounter with baby ache and we were concerned that our little baby would be covered in spots for a while, but as of today things are definitely on the mend. Rocklond had began to watch people and can actually focus on a face. before this week he would mainly stair off into space and occasionally go cross eyed.
The pictures are of Rocklond on the 17 of Feb. so he is exactly one month in the pictures. he doesn't look to happy, and I think that is probably because I had just got done getting him all dressed up to go for a walk. It is really fun to have a little baby that you can dress up in whatever you want.
John has been bugging me about getting some more food storage. I have been reluctant because we are probably moving and I don't want to have to worry about moving all of that food. well John convinced me that we should probably get some. so we went to Walmart and started buying all of the stuff that we needed from a list that our ward had given out. It turned into a very fun event. John kept asking silly questions like " do we even use flower?" We ended up getting quite a bit and I was a little worried that it would take over our apartment. well when we got home all of the food miraculously found a place. So don't ever use the excuse that you don't have room for food storage because there is always room.
My Favorite purchase of the night was a huge 6lb can of White Hominy. John insisted that we buy it towards the end of our shopping expedition when we were beginning to get a little silly. Hominy (incase you are not familiar with this everyday staple of life) is white corn that has been soaked in water until it puffs up and looks like oat meal. well at least that is what we have gained from looking at the outside of the can.
